Launch of Bahimat Buzurg Program under Ehsas Punjab Program
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar inaugurated the Brave Elderly Program, under which a monthly stipend will be given to citizens above 65 years of age.

Bahimat Buzurg Program 2020-21 – Eligibility Criteria
- Only elderly people living below the poverty line of 18, 16 and 30 will be included in this Bahimat Buzurg Program while only one person in the family will be eligible.
- Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that deserving senior citizens aged 65 years and above across Punjab would be given a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 rupees.
- Women will be given priority in the program In the absence of a woman, her elderly husband will be entitled to a stipend.
In case of social pension, Rs. 6,000 will be given every three months. Registration camps will be set up at every tehsil level of the province. In view of the coronavirus, less than 150 people should be called to the centre daily.
Three registration centres have been set up in Multan district including Aligarh College Gulgasht, Committee Hall Shujaabad and Jinnah Hall Jalalpur Parwala Centers. A meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Amir Khattak to review the arrangements for registration in Multan District. Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Amir Khattak said that the registration process for the Bahimat Buzurg Program would continue for three months.
