News anchor and TV host Zaryab Arif (AKA Zaryab Rajput) has parted ways with Hum TV Network. Zaryab has been part of Hum News since February 2019. She was absent from the screen and her show Views Makers lately. Now she has confirmed that she has left the show as well as the channel. Her contract, however, was due to be renewed in March.
Zaryab has not posted anything on this on her social media, however, upon contacting she confirmed that she has left Hum News for better opportunity.
“My time with Hum News has been great initially, however, for the last few months things were not the same and I was not enjoying my work as such. I have left Hum News now for a better opportunity which I believe is one’s right,” said Zaryab.
The anchor further said, “I shall miss my show and interaction with my viewers from the platform of Views Makers but I shall be back on screen soon on a different screen though. And for that I need the best wishes and prayers of all my fans.”
MediaSpring Pk gathers that Zaryab was asked to leave as part of selective budget cuts as she was one of the highest paid anchors of the channel. Sources say that there was no performance audit or issues with the rating of the show that caused her ouster. Considering there were no issue with the performance and ratings were also good this move can be termed as a loss of Hum Network.
Zaryab Arif was not only the face of panel based news analysis show Views Makers but also she was a key part of the news anchoring team of the channel.
Sources also suggest that the anchor is in talks with two channels at the moment and waiting to see how things shape up.
